TWO YEAR OLD MARIE YOLENE RESCUED AND RECOVERING

The child was signed away by her aunt saying that she and the grandmother could not properly care for her. Little Marie Yolene was pulled out of the rubble after the quake with a severely burnt arm and hand.  She had been seen within the first few days after tha quake by a doctor in a camp clinic who had no supplies with which to treat her.  She was sent away with only a wrap over her burned limb.

When Roody made contact with her, she was in very bad shape. He arranged for her to be seen by a visiting American doctor who treated her said if we had not brought her in for proper treatment at that time, she would probably have died within a week or so because of the severity of the infection.

But thanks to God, Danita's Children (orphanage) and Roody's networking efforts on the ground in Haiti, little Marie Yolene Paulin is getting the medical care she needs and a safe temporary home at the orphanage until her aunt or grandmother are able to care for her.  According to the aunt, the mother is alive but suffers a mental disease or retardation.  The father of the little girl is dead or whereabouts unknown.

Roody always urges us to "Expect Miracles!"  Marie Yolene's progress and projected recovery is truly one of them.
