Roody was born in Haiti, to a Haitian pastor and his wife, who at that time served a small church in Léogâne. He was raised in a Christian home. At an early age, his family suffered horrible times under the Haitian government. After many years of such insecurity and fear, he, his mother and siblings were forced to move to the U.S. leaving his father behind to continue his ministry in Haiti.
Roody graduated from high school in 1989. He then attended the Manatee Community College, majoring in nursing. While studying nursing, he was always fascinated with the business world. Two years later, he changed his major and earned his degree in Business Administration. He is married and has six children.
In 2004, Roody establishing his own business, Bethesda Transportation Solution, that provides logistics support to companies such as Wal-Mart, United Parcel Service and FedEx.
Roody has been an active member of First Baptist Church of Bradenton in Bradenton, Florida, for over 20 years. He is also a member of The Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Sarasota Community Enterprise Development. He enjoys playing trumpet in his church orchestra and watching football (an avid fan of The Florida Gators and The Indianapolis Colts). Through his many years of supporting and volunteering with his father's ministry in Haiti, Roody has learned to serve his fellow man in gratitude for what he has been given by God and the many people who have supported him and his family.
Roody is honored to serve with Promised Provision Ministries, and is committed to offering his faithful support and service in bringing glory to God as a member of the board of directors.
