Two Year Old Marie Yolene Rescued and Recovering
Two-year-old Marie Yolene Paulin was badly burned during the earthquake and had suffered extreme pain and infection for two weeks. Her family, unable to care for her turned her over to Danita's Children, a local child welfare organization. Our field missionary, Roody, arranged for her to be seen by a visiting American doctor.

Sandra Recovered!!!
On October 21, 2008, PPM staff members rushed Sandra to the local U.N. outpost for help. The U.N. was able to summon an ambulance to transport her to a hospital. Unfortunately, our team found it necessary to transport her to three hospitals between Leogane and Port-au-Prince before it was successful in securing medical assistance. Many hospitals have closed because they were under-funded by the government and could no longer pay the medical staff.

Christmas Boutique a Huge Success! Thank You, Ella!
We just have to thank Ella & David Chadwell once again for so generously opening their home on Saturday November 1st to benefit our girls’ home. Ella’s gift of hospitality combined with the beauty of her home created just the right balance of awe and comfort for those who attended this event.
We also want to acknowledge the following people for making this fundraiser such a success:Sandi DeLaski for her exceptional organizational skills and tireless dedication to getting everything “just right”; Ilene Stubbs for setting her own trials aside long enough to contribute to planning and executing the Boutique; Judy Serrapica for creating the most incredible invitations we’ve ever seen; Trisha Becker, Val Harris, and Debbie Hutchison for selflessly donating their merchandise and their time to help our girls; and last but certainly not least – Ella’s friends who donned “Ella’s Bistro” aprons and served up the decadent desserts. OUR MOST SINCERE THANKS TO EACH OF YOU! |
