OUR GIRLS - LOUNA

Louna

Birthday: March 25
Father passed, Mother living. 4 brothers, 2 sisters.

Life before Christian Girls Home:
Louna does not speak of her past. From her sister Darline, we know that they do not have a father and their mother is mentally unstable. The children were split and raised by different relatives. Louna’s situation was very challenging and prohibited her from starting school until her early teens.

Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Life in the Christian Girls Home: (in her own words)
The girls’ home first of all assures me a better life.  The girls’ home provides me with regular meals.  I do not need to worry about food, going to school, clothing, and tuition for school.  The home changed my life to be more special.  It constitutes for me a center where I am able to learn more about God.  Also, it teaches me to live with others and how to behave; all areas of my life have changed.  I feel that I have become a new person.  Here I learn about love.  I really never in the past experienced love.  I am very thankful to the Home and all those that provide support for it.

Louna was very shy and reserved at first; the last girl to allow herself to trust us.  She offers us a glimpse of her beautiful soul whenever she sings or is given the opportunity to demonstrate her artistic talents.
