Birthday: January 16
Parents living. 2 brothers, 2 sisters.
Life before Christian Girls Home:
Ketteline is fortunate in that she comes from a loving, Christian home; but sadly, her parent’s are too poor to properly care for their children. Ketteline came to us with no shoes and only the clothes she was wearing. She speaks of good times with her family and being loved by her parents. She describes the home she grew up in as having no furniture and little food; the worst part of her life was not being able to go to school, being hungry every day and not having clothes. Yet, she says her house was a lovely home because Christ was there.
Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 41:9
Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Life in the Christian Girls Home:
Now that she lives in the home, Ketteline enjoys three meals a day, regular prayer meeting and Bible Study. She tells us she finally receives a good nights rest because she feels so secure in the home. She loves attending school and the clothes she’s been provided. She also likes the visits from her overseas friends, Promised Provision Ministries’ missionaries -- Jessica, Mindy, Robin, Deborah & Rebecca & Jerry. She is thankful for the Bible provided to her by PPM, so she can read the Old and New Testament.
Ketteline is like the sun on a cold winter day; full of warmth and glowing from within.
