Jerry grew up in a Christian family and became a follower of Jesus Christ at an early age. As a teen and young adult, he says he drifted away into the ways of the world and that his early years in the military were also marked by worldly pursuits. He reached a point where he knew he had to return to the Lord in order to be whole and enjoy the benefits of God’s blessings on his life.
Jerry met and married his wife, Rebecca, in the early 1990’s and life changed drastically for the better. After having shared many years as a dual-career military couple,
Rebecca retired from the Air Force and began seeking a new direction for her life. In December 2004, God called her to Haiti, so Jerry fully supported her as she set a course for founding a charitable organization to provide relief to the children there.
Jerry retired from the Air Force in 2006 and has served on the Promised Provision Ministries’ board of directors since its inception. He is continually amazed at the ways in which God has changed his direction and fixed his focus on the young people they serve in Haiti. Jerry say God has already rewarded him richly for his obedience in that He has given Rebecca and him an adopted daughter, a resident of the Christian Home for Girls they supported in Haiti.
Jerry says his dedication to this ministry and the people it serves is complete and strong. He is honored that God has chosen to use him to accomplish such miracles as the ones he sees every time he looks into the eyes of one of the children the ministry serves.
