Life before Christian Girls Home: (in her own words)
I was not born into a wealthy family, my parents were so poor that at the age of 5 another lady took me from my parents because they were not able to support or take care of me. I went to school and completed high school and by the grace of God I am here living in the Christian Girls Home. So, I can talk about the full grace of God and about a complete salvation body and soul. I have confidence in God for the best life and future. The Christian Girls home is an answer to my prayers and my future.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Life in the Christian Girls Home: (in her own words)
The Christian Girls Home provides me with a new discipline, education and structured routine and activities of daily life.  The Christian Girls Home really makes a lot of impact on my life.  I have regular meals.  We pray and have discipline of prayer.  Every Morning Prayer and Bible study helps me to grow spiritually and increase my knowledge of the Bible.  I did not have a Bible and the Christian Girls Home provided me with a complete Bible that I read regularly. 

I used to go to school with different girls but I never really had to live together day and night with other people.  The Christian Girls Home makes a new family for me and the rules and the study and pastor’s everyday teaching helps me to know how to behave and live together.

Elta is the oldest of the three Joinville sisters living at the home and the eldest resident too.  By default, she becomes the “dorm mom”.  She takes her position seriously maintaining a sense of order in a house full of 15 females without losing her sense of humor. We love when she treats us to readings from scripture…in English.  She trusts in the Lord completely.
