PROMISED PROVISION MINISTRIES IN HAITI

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Hope for a brighter future for the people of Haiti rests on the generosity of people like you from outside of their country who care enough to provide them with the tools they need to become self-sufficient.

Through its numerous partnerships in Leogane, Haiti, Promised Provision Ministries provides both physical and spiritual care and nourishment, as well as the education and vocational training needed to enable these wonderfully warm people to make better lives for themselves and thus, for future generations.

Pastor Joseph and Rebecca WilliamsPastor Joseph & Rebecca Williams

For over thirty years, Pastor Abraham Joseph, a native Haitian, has single-handedly sustained a pocket of Christianity in an austere nation that frowns on Christianity by securing donations from family members and a small, faithful group of donors, then personally packing and transporting those donations to his mission and school in Leogane, Haiti.

The children at the school and the people in his congregation are only the tip of the iceberg – God has enabled Pastor Abraham to also plant twenty (20) seed churches/preaching stations in the mountains where he has prayed with and touched in many ways the lives of virtually everyone within a twenty mile radius during the past three decades.  All of these people are currently dependent on him for the provision of the simplest of necessities – food, clothes, medicine – but with committed prayer and donations they can progress toward self-sufficiency.

God put in on my heart to visit Haiti in 2004 and I was so impressed by what I witnessed at Pastor Abraham’s school and in his church.  Despite living lives of overwhelming poverty, because of his dedicated efforts of their behalf, the children and staff were clean, healthy and well-clothed by Haitian standards.  The children are extremely dedicated to their educations and some ride bicycles (provided by the U.S. sponsors Pastor Abraham recruits on his trips to the U.S. each year) ten or more miles per day, one-way, to attend school.  They understand the importance of an education and are diligent about attendance.  Because they receive a meal at school each day (a bowl of cereal or beans & rice) the children no longer faint in class from hunger as they did in the past.  Donations and love offerings from caring U.S. donors make these meals possible and these children now have hope and the ability to develop their minds in preparation for a brighter future.

Promised Provision Ministries is a God-inspired undertaking with a mission to continue and expand upon the work Pastor Abraham has been doing for over three decades.  As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, it offers generous benefactors like you the opportunity to OFFER HOPE of self-sufficiency to fellow Christians who know the only way out of their poverty is a strong mind and hard work.  Your heartfelt TAX-DEDUCTIBLE contributions will enable us to provide the basic requirements to help these people help themselves.  Each of us has a “heart” for certain endeavors – supporting Bible training, providing food, educational or vocational programs, direct sponsorship of teachers or secondary school students – whatever your heart leads you to be a part of, there is a vital need for your participation in God’s plan of uplifting and empowering our brothers and sisters in Christ in this impoverished nation.

“Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be heard.” Proverbs 21:13 (NKJV)

"This verse of Scripture has been echoing in my mind ever since I returned from Haiti three weeks ago.  While in Haiti, our mission team discovered so many needs."

Reconstruction List of Needs

Our Christian brothers and sisters in the city of Leogane suffered horrendous losses. Families on the mountain above the city of Leogane lost everything including their little homes during those storms.  These families have been living under blankets spread between trees or in flimsy huts constructed of the debris that remained after the earthquake.
