Health Classes to Benefit Tent Camp Residents
The filth of trash and standing sewage in the tent camps has increased the need for personal cleanliness about a thousand-fold. If disease gets a foothold on people living so close together in such rainy, wet conditions, something of epidemic proportions could be set in motion.

Water Purification Station in Leogane, Haiti
In conjunction with Living Waters for the World, a non-profit organization that constructs quality water purification systems, we were proud to accept their offer to partner with us to install a reverse osmosis system where it will be central to the people of the city of Leogane -- near the main intersection of the city. This well historically met the daily water needs for approximately 1000 families. Since the earthquake, Living Water’s researchers determined that over 4000 people residing in the tent city directly across the street will now have access to clean water.

Unique Boutique: Open for Business
The Unique Boutique opened it doors (well, actually, its tent flaps!) in September. Each Saturday, the girl's open the gates to their courtyard and sell selected donated items from their beautiful new tent donated by Bruce and Susan Harrell of Balm, FL. 100% of the proceeds from these sales is used to help meet the needs of the girls (food, medical care, propane, gas for the van, etc.). This is a fabulous way to convert some of our in-kind donations such as men's clothing, women's clothing too 'mature' for our girls, etc. into necessities while simultaneously providing invaluable business experience for the girls.
